Current Status of Autism

The purpose of this study is to determine the current status of individuals who have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (formerly known as Pervasive Developmental Disorder), in order to better inform current treatment practices.

This study is open to the following:

  • Any parent or caregiver over the age of 18 of a child with Autism, Aspergers or PDD-NOS    (The age of the child does not matter - the survey must be completed by an adult)
  • Any individual over the age of 18 with Autism or Aspergers so long as they can participate without the help of a caregiver/aide.
  • It does not matter where you live.

Unfortunately, we do not have permission from the IRB to allow the following to participate in the study

  • Anyone under the age of 18
  • Anyone with Autism over the age of 18 who cannot complete the study on their own.

Apologies to those who object to the term "person with autism" as opposed to autistic person. All questions had to be approved by the IRB and as such had to follow medical guidelines.
